A Historic Milestone in the Tournament’s 125th Year.
Cincinnati, OH – The 2024 Cincinnati Open has set a new benchmark in its storied history, drawing a record-breaking attendance of 205,068 fans. This milestone marks the first time the tournament has exceeded 200,000 attendees as a single-week event, highlighting the growing enthusiasm and support for tennis in the region. Notably, this figure excludes the 7,002 fans who participated in the inaugural Community Day, an event dedicated to giving back, which successfully raised nearly $200,000 for local charities.
Bob Moran, President of Beemok Sports & Entertainment, expressed his excitement about this year’s remarkable turnout. “We are thrilled with the response to this year’s tournament,” said Moran. “From the beginning, we emphasized that you only get to turn 125 years old once, and we certainly celebrated that milestone in style. Our fans brought tremendous enthusiasm that energized every minute of the tournament. We’re delighted to see how they responded to our upgrades and fully engaged with the tennis, entertainment, food, drink, and shopping experiences we offered.”
The 2024 event saw overwhelming demand, with 13 of the 16 tournament sessions completely sold out. Nine of these sessions set new attendance records for their respective time slots. The tournament also set an all-time single-session attendance record on the opening day of match play, Sunday, August 11, when 14,852 fans filled the stands.
As the tournament continues to grow and evolve, the 2025 Cincinnati Open promises to be another unforgettable event. Mark your calendars for August 5-18, 2025, as we look forward to welcoming tennis fans back for another year of world-class competition and entertainment.
